This is a demo track recorded during the writing process of Survive, and before signing to Nitro. The song evolved before being recorded for the album but in retrospect this arrangement has some strengths over the final version.
lyrics
A violent scream is better than the whisper of sweet nothings.
It holds us together, and I'll never understand
Why we don't let the flame burn the fan
No I'll never understand why we don't let the flames burn the fan
Kindness is where we fail
I don't understand it
Why we're happy to be (content to be!) in discontent
This life is not well spent
Is it better to suffer than to be alone?
So hide your heart and close your mind
And put the key in a dark place that I can't find and don't forget to lie
Because it seems that we're happy to cry
No don't forget to lie
Because there's no truth in your eyes
If I treated you like dirt would you stick to me like mud?
Why is this your idea of love?
And I cant be clean we're coming apart at the seams
Stitches can't fix everything

SO stoked these guys are back with a new album! This does not disappoint whatsoever, and in my opinion it's their best work yet! Don't sleep on this release if you are into melodic skatepunk. iloveblink182

WTF? More tracks the better from this tight, sadly defunct Cali outfit... STRIKE TWELVE lyrically bounced between personal cool expression and schoolyard dipshit humor, but hey, so did the DESCENDENTS. Extremely well played, polished and quite fun; originally released on Felony who put out DC FALLOUT and the blessed BUTT TRUMPET split. Definitely one of the higher notes in the often awful re-emergence of pop-punk during the BLINK 182 uprising... Good stuff. Michael F.
Gutsy rock & roll from this Brooklyn group bursting with hot-rodding riffs and snarling vocals, hearkening back to classic dark punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 24, 2023
